The short version. This website tells you what we make and lets you send us a drawing. Nothing on it is a binding quotation — only a written quotation signed by JMC Engineering is. Our free calculators are provided as a convenience and must not be used as the sole basis for a manufacturing decision. You keep ownership of your drawings; we keep ownership of our designs.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms govern your use of jmcengg.com, operated by JMC Engineering, #17/9 Asai Thambi Street, TMP Nagar, Padi, Chennai – 600 050, Tamil Nadu, India (GSTIN 33AXRPJ5951H1Z5, UDYAM-TN-02-004828). By using this website you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
2. The website is information, not an offer
Capabilities, machinery, lead times, tolerances and indicative figures shown on this site describe what we typically do. They are not an offer capable of acceptance and do not form a contract. A binding commitment arises only from a written quotation issued and signed by JMC Engineering, and accepted by you in writing or by a purchase order.
Where this site mentions a review within 24 hours, that means 24 working hours, Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays.
3. The engineering calculators
The drill and tolerance calculator and the material weight calculator are offered free of charge as a convenience to engineers. They use standard published formulae and nominal material densities.
- Results are indicative. Real material varies, and so do machine, tooling and process conditions.
- They are not a substitute for a qualified engineer's judgement, a drawing check, or the applicable standard.
- Do not use these results as the sole basis for cutting metal, ordering material, or quoting a customer. Verify against your own drawing, standard and process before committing.
We accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on calculator output.
4. Drawings you send us
- You keep ownership. Sending a drawing gives us no ownership of it. It gives us a limited licence to use it for the sole purpose of assessing, quoting and, if you place an order, manufacturing your tooling.
- You confirm you are entitled to send it. By uploading, you confirm the drawing is yours or that you have the right to share it with a supplier for quotation.
- We keep it confidential. See our Privacy Policy for how drawings are handled, stored and deleted. If you need an NDA signed first, ask us before uploading.
- Please do not send controlled material. Do not upload anything subject to export control, defence restriction or a third-party NDA you are not permitted to share under.
5. What we own
The design of this website, its text, the engineering drawings we have produced for illustration, the JMC Engineering name and logo, and the calculators, remain our property. You may read, print and share pages for your own business purposes. You may not copy the site's content or code to build a competing site, or present our work as your own.
Tool designs, jig and fixture designs and process methods that JMC Engineering originates in the course of a job remain our intellectual property unless your purchase order or our quotation says otherwise in writing.
6. Availability
We try to keep this site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including the calculators, without notice.
7. Links to other sites
This site links to external services such as our YouTube channel, WhatsApp and Google Maps. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data once you leave this site.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of production, or loss of contracts arising from your use of this website or the calculators. Liability arising from work we actually carry out for you is governed by the terms of the relevant quotation and purchase order, not by this page.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this website.
